Cupertino Real Estate Market Prices remain strong with some houses recieving multiple offers. Inventory is increasing and thereby making it move towards a Buyer's Market. The demand for the Cupertino market remains strong because of Cupertino's excellent schools. Few Cupertino homes last longer than one week on the market. In Cupertino, the December 2005 average sales price was $ 1,020,690 versus $909,950 for December 2004. This is a gain of $110,740 or just slightly over 12%. In my opinion, a 12% gain in one year doesn't seem like a doomsday scenario. Our city has long been recognized for its excellent public schools. This all stemmed from a very proactive parent-teacher association in the 1960's. The high scores and high percentage of students going on to college continues, but other cities are doing as well or better. Palo Alto, Los Altos, Los Gatos, Saratoga and the Almaden Valley are among the other top five areas in the county recognized for outstanding public schools. The cities with the best public schools have the highest property values. Our community lies on the west side of the county with Saratoga on the south and Los Altos on the north. Completing the ring around the city are Sunnyvale and San Jose, both which contain part of the same Fremont Union High School District. Alive with energy and rich in diversity, Cupertino is an amazing mix of imagination and cooperation. Home to such high tech firms as Apple Computer and Hewlett-Packard, Cupertino boasts a vibrant economy, beautiful surroundings, and a population full of spirit and optimism Cupertino is a great place to call home. From the greenery of our parks and open spaces to the quality of our public schools and city services, Cupertino stands apart. But the most important and vital part of any city is its citizens - the people who keep the past alive while building the future. Cupertino is world-renowned for the quality of its schools, which score very high. Many schools have won state and national recognition for academic excellence. Computer education is outstanding in this district. Vice President Al Gore once visited the city's Monta Vista High School and Homestead High was honored at a White House ceremony. Community and business support is very strong for education in Cupertino. |
